BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech wrestling head coach Tony Robie announced two more dual meet to an already impressive 2022-2023 competition slate with the addition of Stanford and Lindenwood on December 18 in Palo Alto, California.
The last meeting between Tech and Stanford was in 2017 in Blacksburg – a 22-12 victory for then No. 9 Hokies over then No. 21 Cardinals. The Tech victory marked the first win of the head coach Tony Robie era. The dual also featured a familiar face to Blacksburg in Nathan Traxler. Traxler made his debut against then No. 2 Jared Haught – current Hokies volunteer assistant coach.
The trip out west will be the first meeting between Tech and Lindenwood.
