Twelve Hokies earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After a great season on and off the field, 12 members of the Virginia Tech softball team have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the association announced Monday.
 
Kayleigh Addington, Jayme Bailey, Kelsey Brown, Grace Chavez, Faith Howard, Molly Jacobson, Mackenzie Lawter, Maija Louko, Alexa Milius, Morgan Overaitis, Jenna Pearson, and Maddie Rountree earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors after finishing the 2021-22 school year with a 3.5 GPA or higher. As a team, the Hokies ended spring 2022 with a 3.36 GPA.
 
The NFCA saw 7,527 collegiate student-athletes capture Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year.
 
Earlier this summer, six Hokies were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, as the Hokies wrapped up an impressive year on the field and in the classroom. Virginia Tech won the 2022 ACC Regular Season Title, as well as advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals for the second straight season.
 
The Hokies add many talented newcomers and return the core of its starting lineup for the 2022-23 school year, which will begin building up to the spring this fall.
