HOKIES
Tech comes into Rome, Ga. in perhaps its hottest form of the season, having won two of its last four, including a road win against then-No. 28 Miami. On their Senior Day dismantling of Boston College, the Hokies' No. 81 Ryan Fishback, Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza, Carlo Donato, Hugo Maia, Michael Shepheard and Scott Sculley all picked up wins in singles. Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom came in at No. 20 in the ITA doubles rankings released on April 20. Virginia Tech fell 4-1 earlier this season to NC State.

WOLFPACK
NC State enters the tournament on a roll, having won four of its last five with the one defeat being a 4-3 setback against No. 18 North Carolina. Before that, the Wolfpack had won four straight matches against ranked ACC opponents. In Wednsday's ITA rankings, NC State has two ranked singles players: No. 91 Rafael Iziquierdo Luque and No. 113 Robin Catry. The Wolfpack also have two ranked doubles pairs: No. 43 Martins Rocens & Fons Van Sambeek and No. 51 Robin Catry & Luca Staeheli.
