Slaw named ACC Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the first time in her Hokie career, Meredith Slaw has been named the ACC Player of the Week after her performance at the plate against then-No. 2/3 Florida State. This is Tech's first Player of the Week honoree this season.
 
Meredith Slaw had an outstanding weekend for the Hokies as the DP, going 7-for-10 against Florida State. In game one, she hit two home runs, the first of which was a two-run shot that tied the game at 2-2 and the second took the lead at 3-2.  Her two home runs in game one set a new career-high for the junior, while her three hits tied her career-high.
 
In game two, Slaw also hit a home run and a double to add to the Hokies record-setting 23 runs scored against the Seminoles. Slaw finished her weekend with a single in game three. Over her three games played, the junior posted 7 RBI with a 1.700 slugging percentage. She also scored three runs over the weekend.
