BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team (8-7, 2-5) will take on Coastal Carolina from the A-Sun conference Wednesday afternoon in their final non-conference contest of the 2022 season.
Tech is coming off of a narrow 15-14 loss at home to the seventh-ranked Duke Blue Devils on a night where both programs were honoring a non-profit organization Morgan's Message. The game was tied at halftime before Duke went on a run in the third quarter to take a lead. In the fourth, the Hokies battled back and scored to make it a one-goal game with 1:42 on the clock but the ensuing draw control went to the Blue Devils and the Hokies ran out of time to complete the comeback.
In the Duke game, graduate student Sarah Lubnow scored four times, including the 100th goal of her career.
