Hokies host No. 13 Virginia in Commonwealth Clash matchup

BLACKSBURG – Coming off its second ACC win of the season, Virginia Tech welcomes Commonwealth foes No. 13 Virginia to the Burrow-Burleson Tennis Center this Saturday.

HOKIES 
Virginia Tech splits results last weekend on the road, putting up a good effort against No. 46 Notre Dame before defeating Louisville, 4-3. Charlotte Cartledge, who clinched the match on Court 6, picked up ACC Freshman of the Week honors for her two wins last weekend. Dariya Radulova and Cartledge picked up wins against Notre Dame on Friday, while Erika Cheng, Semra Aksu, Tamara Barad Itzhaki and Cartlege guided the Hokies to Sunday's triumph.
 
CAVALIERS
Virginia comes to Blacksburg on a two-match win streak after it downed Notre Dame and Lousiville last weekend. The Cavalier's four losses have come at the hands of No. 1 North Carolina (twice), No. 6 Miami and No. 14 Duke. Three of Virginia's players are ranked: No. 3 Emma Navarro, No. 35 Natasha Subhash and No. 55 Elaine Chervinsky. Navarro, Chervinsky, Hibah Shaikh, Melodie Collard and Amber O'Dell make up five different doubles teams that are ranked in the top 70.
