BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech lacrosse team (4-3, 1-1) returns to Thompson Field to take on Notre Dame (2-4, 1-1) Thursday, March 10 at 3 p.m. The game will be shown on ACC Network Extra.
Last Saturday the Hokies earned their first ACC victory in a 12-11 triple OT thriller on the road at Pitt. Claire Schotta and Sarah Lubnow each scored four points in the game, with the game-winner being scored by freshman Olivia Vergano, her lone goal of the afternoon. The win was Coach Skiera's first in the ACC and 50th of her career.
In goal, Morgan Berman played every minute and made 11 saves.
On the season midfielder Sophie Student leads the Hokies in goals with 15 and Lubnow is the points leader with 24.
Lubnow owns 66 career assists, two shy of tying the program record of 68 set by Kady McBrearty (2005-08).
