Aluma selected to All-ACC Second Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Virginia Tech redshirt senior Keve Aluma has been named to the All-ACC Second Team as the league office announced its annual postseason men's basketball honors Monday.

For the second straight year, Aluma was the top vote getter on the second team. He was joined on the second team by NC State's Dereon Seabron, Duke's Wendell Moore, Jr., Notre Dame's Blake Wesley and Wake Forest's Jake LaRavia.

A native of Berlin, Maryland, Aluma averaged 15.4 points per game, which ranked 12th in the ACC. He scored at least 20 points eight times this season and recorded a team-best six double-doubles.

He surpassed 1,000 career points against Georgia Tech on Feb. 2 and had a stretch of 15 straight games where he reached double-figure scoring. It was the longest streak since Zach LeDay put together 23 straight during the 2016-17 season.

Aluma was third in the league in field-goal percentage, knocking down 53.1% of his attempts.

The voting for the league's annual awards was done by the ACC's head coaches and a panel of media that cover the conference.
