Lemley named Co-ACC Pitcher of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second time in her Hokie career, freshman Emma Lemley has been named ACC Pitcher of the Week. Lemley earned Co-Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 on the week, including the first no-hitter of her career against Longwood.
 
The right-hander got the start in game one against Longwood, going the distance and striking out 13 along the way to her first career no-hitter. She walked only two batters in the 5-0 Hokie win.
 
Lemley followed that up with another double-digit strikeout appearance on Friday against Pitt, throwing a perfect game heading into the seventh inning. She struck out 14 Panthers in her 7.0 innings pitched, earning her second win of the week.
 
With 27 total strikeouts, Lemley finished her 14.0 innings pitched with a 1.00 ERA, giving up just four hits and two runs. She currently ranks first in the ACC and fourth in the NCAA in strikeouts per seven innings with 12.9. She also ranks third in the ACC in total strikeouts with 117 and fifth in strikeout-to-walk ratio with a 6.16.
