SUNSET, S.C. — The No. 23 Virginia Tech women's golf team finished 16th at the Clemson Invitational, which concluded Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee (par 72, 6,386 yards).
The Hokies carded a 933 (313-319-301) and were led by freshman Ginnie Lee, who tied for 38th at 230 (71-81-78). Keerattriya Foocharoen tied for 50th at 232. Kyrsten Shawah, competing as an individual, also tied for 50th.
LSU, ranked 18th by Golfstat, topped the team leaderboard at 891, one shot clear of Illinois. Kentucky (895), Florida (896) and Florida State (897) rounded out the top five.
Ingrid Lindblad of LSU was the lone player to finish in red figures, signing for a 4-under 212 (74-70-68). Florida's Annabell Fuller was runner-up at 1-over 217.
The Hokies conclude regular-season competition at the NC State Match Play, April 3-4, at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina.
