HOKIES
Virginia Tech earned its first ACC win of the season last weekend in a 4-3 thriller against No. 63 Clemson. After falling behind by dropping his first set, Michael Shepheard rallied for a 6-7, 7-6, 7-5 win on Court 4 to clinch the victory for the Hokies. Following last weekend's performance, Ryan Fishback cracked the top 100 of the latest ITA rankings, claiming the No. 97 spot. After splitting results last weekend, Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom slid to No. 16 in the doubles rankings.

Eighth-ranked Wake Forest enters the weekend on a seven-match win streak and coming off a two-week break. The Demon Deacons have dropped four contests this season, although three of the four losses have come to teams ranked No. 1 in the country at the time of the match. Wake Forest has three ranked singles players: No. 34 Eduardo Nava, No. 74 Filippo Moroni and No 113 Jurabek Karimov. NC State comes into the weekend with a similar track as the Hokies, having faced ranked opponents in six-straight matches. In its most recent outing, State downed No. 6 South Carolina, 4-1. Two members of the Wolfpack are ranked in singles: No. 82 Rafael Iziquierdo Luque and No. 108 Robin Catry.
