INDIANAPOLIS – For a defensive lineman to run a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash is one thing. But to run under a 4.4 is hard to fathom, and Virginia Tech football's Amaré Barno did just that with an official time of 4.36 Saturday night at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Doing it with ease, Barno clocked an unofficial time of 4.37 before it got changed to even faster.
He was later interviewed about his time and was very appreciative of the guys he had been training with to get him to this point.

He also did some defensive lineman drills, showing his quick burst. Then his athleticism took over with his vertical (37 inches), which ranks sixth among the 22 defensive ends that jumped, and broad jump (10 feet, 11 inches), which ranks first among the 22 defensive ends.
