TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Emily Mahar shot a school-record, 7-under 65 on the way to her third straight top-5 showing at the Florida State Match Up, which concluded Sunday. The three-day, 54-hole event was contested at Seminole Legacy Golf Club (par 72, 6,255 yards), which will be one of six host sites for NCAA regionals in May.

Mahar's three-day total of 216 tied her for third in the 69-golfer field. As a team, the Hokies placed third at 886 (288-296-302). No. 3 Oregon topped the leaderboard at 3-under 861, followed by No. 16 Florida State (875) and the Hokies. No. 20 Arizona (894) and No. 32 Oregon State (897) rounded out the top five.

During Friday's opening round, Mahar used six birdies and an eagle to break the program record in relation to par. Elizabeth Bose and Alyssa Montgomery previously had the record of 6-under-par. Mahar's 65 was also a competitive course record and the tournament record at Seminole Legacy.

Keerattriya Foocharoen bounced back from a rough start to shoot even-par over the final two days and tie for 10th at 221. Becca DiNunzio was one shot back at 222 to tie for 12th.

Symone Henriques tied for 32nd at 227 and Beatriz Mosquera Quintas finished 69th at 256 to round out the Tech lineup. Competing as an individual, Alyssa Montgomery tied for 38th at 231.

Mahar and Foocharoen took advantage of the par-5s this weekend, both going 5-under-par on those holes. Foocharoen recorded the second-most birdies in the field with 13.

Florida State's Amelia Williamson, ranked seventh in the nation, posted a 7-under 209 to earn medalist honors.

The Hokies are next in action March 12-13 at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.
