THE SERIES
- Miami snapped Tech's two-game win streak in the series on Jan. 26, thanks to Charlie Moore's half-court buzzer-beater.
- The Hurricanes lead the all-time series, 25-19. The first game of the series was played on Jan. 10, 2001 in Blacksburg.
- Tech has won five of the previous eight head-to-head meetings. The previous four games have been decided by a combined 16 points.

- Be Coach Young's third win over Miami as head coach of the Hokies (2-3).
- Keep the Hokies no worse than seventh in the ACC standings at 10-8 in league play.
- Move the Hokies to 7-1 in February, which would be their best record for the month since 1972 (6-1).
HOKIE HEADLINES
- Saturday is a pivotal game for Tech's NCAA tournament resume. Miami, which is currently No. 61 in the NET rankings, would qualify as a Quad 1 win for the Hokies - their first of the season (0-5).
- Keve Aluma ranks third in the ACC in scoring at 17.2 points per game in conference-only action. Aluma collected his fifth double-double of the season at Georgia Tech on Wednesday night.
- Tech is shooting 39.4 percent from three this season, but has been below 30 percent from beyond the arc the last four games (24- 97; 24.7%).
ROAD WARRIORS TO CLOSE THE SEASON
- Of the Hokies' final four games, three will be on the road, beginning with Wednesday win against Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
