Virginia Tech went 1-2 last weekend with a dominant win against Norfolk State and losses to No. 17 Old Dominion and Furman. Even in the defeat to Old Dominion, Tech found a highlight, as Annie Clark and Katie Andreini defeated the nation's No. 3-ranked doubles pair of Tatsiana Sasnouskaya and Yulia Starodubtseva.
Against Norfolk State, Tech cruised to a 7-0 victory. Tamara Barad Itzhaki and Dariya Radulova handled business in the first two slots for the Hokies, while Charlotte Cartledge shifted up to Court 3. Semra Aksu, Sabina Richtrova and Clark handled the back-half of the lineup, earning straight-set wins.
HIGHLANDERS
Radford enters the match 4-2 defeating Hampton, 7-0, on Sunday. Salma Loudili resides on Court 1 for the Highlanders. The sophomore is 5-2 this season, with both of her losses coming in Radford's two team defeats. Radford and Tech share one mutual opponent so far this season – Marshall. The Hokies were victorious, 6-1 against the Thundering Herd, while the Highlanders fell, 6-1. When the two sides met last season, the Hokies were victorious – 6-1.
