Virginia Tech lacrosse set to open the Skiera era at Jacksonville Saturday

BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech lacrosse team will start their 2022 season Saturday at nationally-ranked Jacksonville.

THE SERIES

  • Virginia Tech has met Jacksonville once on the lacrosse field, a 10-9 OT decision at Thompson Field in 2021.

Sarah Lubnow is coming off a season where she led the Hokies in total points with 54. She also returns as the team's third leading scorer with 23 goals last season and the team's leader in assists with 29. 
 
On the defensive side, Morgan Berman returns as the teams most experienced goalie. She enters this season having played 10 games last year and starting in three of them. She recorded 21 saves last year with a save percentage of .362.
