Skiera announces 2022 lacrosse schedule

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech lacrosse program announced its 2022 competition schedule Friday.

In addition to a grueling eight-game ACC slate that includes newcomer Pitt, the Hokies will face two other programs in Jacksonville and JMU who made the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

"I am really excited how our schedule came together for the 2022 season," Head Coach Kristen Skiera said. "Beginning the season with road trips to both Jacksonville and JMU will certainly test us early, as both teams had impressive 2021 seasons and return their core contributors. These early February games will really help to quickly gage where we are at as a team and where we need to improve as we continue through non-conference play and enter ACC competition. Of course, the ACC slate will be an eight-game gauntlet playing against the best teams in the country, which we look forward to doing."
