THE SERIES
- Tech carries a two-game win streak in the series into Wednesday's ACC clash with Miami.
- The Hurricanes lead the all-time series, 24-19. The first game of the series was played on Jan. 10, 2001 in Blacksburg.
- Tech has won five of the previous seven head-to-head meetings. The previous three games have been decided by a combined 13 points.
- The Hokies swept the season series in 2020-21. It was the first sweep in the series by Tech since 2018-19 when the team beat the Canes twice in the regular season and then again in the 2019 ACC Tournament.
- Tech is 10-8 all-time against Miami in Blacksburg, including an 80-78 triumph at Cassell last season.

HOKIE HEADLINES
- Keve Aluma led the Hokies in scoring for the 11th time this season, pouring in 19 points in Monday's 78-68 loss at North Carolina. It was his 14 straight game scoring in double figures.
- Justyn Mutts notched his first double-double of the season at North Carolina (18 points, 10 rebounds), while 53.3 percent from the floor.
- Hunter Cattoor and Nahiem Alleyne combined to shoot 5 for 10 from beyond the arc at UNC. They scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.
- Aluma (962) and Mutts (977) are both on track to reach 1,000 career points this season.
