BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (14-4, 6-1) returns to the court on Sunday afternoon when they take on fourth-ranked NC State (17-2, 8-0) in a matchup of the top teams in the ACC.
The Hokies defeated rival Pitt 75-65 Thursday behind four scorers in double figures including center Elizabeth Kitley who scored a game-high 27 points. Tech has reeled off three consecutive victories to reach the 6-1 mark in conference play, the best start to the ACC season in program history.
The Wolfpack earned an impressive 68-59 comeback victory over No. 3 Louisville Thursday at home. Three State players scored in double figures led by Diamond Johnson's 16 points off the bench.
