Standing ovation in No. 8 Virginia Tech’s win over George Mason

Blacksburg, Va. – It was no Macbeth ending as the No. 8 Virginia Tech wrestling team played the hero against the visiting George Mason Patriots in the Hokies' return to the Moss Arts Center with a dominant 31-15 win. 
 
The Hokies won seven of ten bouts on Saturday including an emphatic ranked win in the return of the ever-electric No. 7 Bryce Andonian. Tech (5-3, 0-0 ACC) secured wins from No. 21 Sam Latona, Brandon Wittenberg, Collin Gerardi, Andonian, Clayton Ulrey, No. 33 Dakota Howard, and No. 13 Nathan Traxler to propel them to a convincing 31-15 victory.

The Hokies now look ahead to conference competition as they travel to Raleigh for Friday Night Duals next week to face ACC rival, No. 5 NC State (6-1, 0-0 ACC) on Friday, January 21 at 7 p.m. on the ACC Network.
