BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech returns to Cassell Coliseum on Saturday evening in search of its third-straight win in its series against Notre Dame.

THE SERIES

  • Despite Tech winning the previous two encounters, the Hokies trail in the overall series, 9-6.
  • The series dates back to March 25, 1973 - a 92-91 overtime win by Tech in the 1973 NIT championship game.

HOKIE HEADLINES

  • Keve Aluma has reached double-figure scoring in 10 straight games. He's at least tied for leading scorer honors in seven of the last eight games.
  • Aluma leads the ACC in scoring in conference-only games at 22.0 points per game.
  • Hunter Cattoor has scored double figures in seven of the last nine games, including a career-high 21 points vs. St. Bonaventure on Dec. 17. He distributed a career-high-tying five assists at Virginia.

ON A ROLL

  • Not many in the country have played better than Keve Aluma as of late.
  • The redshirt senior has scored double figures in 10 straight games for the first time in his career.
  • It's the longest double-digit scoring streak by a Hokie since Landers Nolley put together 12 straight games during the 2019- 20 season.
