HOKKAIDO, Japan — Virginia Tech alumnus Scott Vincent fired a final-round 66 Sunday to claim the 2021 ANA Open with a total of 18-under 270 at Sapporo Golf Club. It was Vincent's second victory on the Japan Golf Tour in his last three tournaments. He also won the Sansan KBC Augusta in late August.

Starting out the final round tied for third and three strokes behind the leader, the Zimbabwean reeled off four birdies on his opening six holes to erase the deficit. Then his eagle on the par-5 ninth gave him the outright lead he would not relinquish.

Vincent is set to reach a career-best mark in the Official World Golf Rankings when they are released next week.
