GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team will travel to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge on December 1 the ACC announced Tuesday. Tip time and television designation will be announced at a later date.
Tech, one of the most successful teams in the Challenge in recent years, is one of two teams in either conference boasting a five-game winning streak in the competition. Head Coach Kenny Brooks has an undefeated record of 4-0 in The Challenge since taking over the program in 2016 with wins against Nebraska, Illinois, Rutgers, and Purdue by an average margin of victory of 21.3 points.
The Hokies previously matched up with Wisconsin in the 2008 Challenge losing 61-52 and again in 2012 winning 47-38.
Tech owns a Challenge record of 7-6 since making its first appearance in the competition in 2007.
