Virginia Tech’s ACC Network Takeover set for Friday

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech will be shown on ACC Network for 24 consecutive hours on Friday, showcasing six events/games that involve the Hokies.

The first half of the day consists of the May 1 Virginia-Virginia Tech baseball game this past season, a 6-3 win in Blacksburg airing at 6 a.m. ET, the 2021 ACC Indoor Championships in Clemson, South Carolina at 9 a.m., which saw a men's title, and the March 24 midweek softball tilt between the Cavaliers and Hokies, a 7-0 victory behind a one-hit shutout from pitcher Keely Rochard, airs at 11 a.m.

Beginning at 1 p.m. is the UVA-Tech football game last fall, a 33-15 Hokie victory at Lane Stadium, then at 4 p.m. is Tech's 74-67 win over then-No. 19 Duke in Cassell Coliseum this past winter and at 6 p.m. will be wrestling's emphatic 17-16 win over then-No. 3 NC State in Cassell.

The final 12 hours will be reruns of previous showings for those who may have missed early in the morning or during the work day, with baseball (8 p.m.), football (11 p.m.), track and field (2 a.m.) and wrestling (4 a.m.) to close it.
