Hokies heading to Tempe for NCAA Regionals

BLACKSBURG – The No. 20/20 Virginia Tech softball team is NCAA Regionals-bound for the second straight tournament, selected as the No. 2 seed in the Tempe Regional hosted by Arizona State.
 
Making their 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the Hokies (33-13, 23-11 ACC) will play in a four-team, double-elimination bracket with host and 15th overall seed Arizona State (32-14, 12-9 Pac-12), Brigham Young (36-15, 11-1 WCC) and Southern Illinois (37-14, 16-10 MVC). Tech starts its tournament with BYU Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN3.
 
The Hokies are 14-17 in regionals in school history after a 2-2 showing at the 2019 Lexington Regional.
