BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's golf team has earned its third consecutive NCAA regional berth, as announced via a selection show on the Golf Channel, Wednesday afternoon. The Hokies, which earned an at-large berth, will be a program-best fourth seed in the Stanford Regional.

This marks the third NCAA regional appearance in the program's brief history. Under the direction of Carol Robertson, Tech is in just its sixth season of intercollegiate competition. The Hokies were the 14th seed in the Austin Regional in 2018 (finishing 10th overall) and the 12th seed in the Norman Regional in 2019 (finishing 11th overall).

The Hokies will be the fourth seed in the 18-team field at the Stanford Regional. The tournament will be played May 10-12 at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, California, hosted by Stanford University. The top six teams and top three individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the 2021 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, to be held May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Tech will be joined in the Stanford field by fellow ACC member Wake Forest, the top seed at the site. Oklahoma State and Southern Cal are the second and third seeds, respectively. Site host Stanford is behind the Hokies as the No. 5 seed, followed by six seed Florida.

The tournament will consist of 54 holes of stroke play, 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. PT. Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament at this link.
