NFL Hokies Week 14 primer

Notable Week 13 Performance

Washington Football Team
All four Hokies played a role in Washington's 17-15 win over Las Vegas last week. K Brian Johnson, who signed with Washington off of Chicago's practice squad last week, hit the game-winning 48-yard field goal with 37 seconds remaining to lift his new team to victory. TE Logan Thomas recorded three receptions for 48 yards with a seven-yard touchdown to open the scoring. CB Kendall Fuller recorded eight tackles in the game and DT Tim Settle made a tackle.

Washington (6-6) hosts division-leading Dallas (8-4) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

More Week 14 Matchups
Thursday, Dec. 9

Pittsburgh at Minnesota – 8:20 p.m. ET – FOX
The first Hokie vs. Hokie matchup of NFL Week 14 takes place on Thursday Night Football as S Terrell Edmunds and the Steelers visit T Christian Darrisaw and the Vikings. Edmunds made four tackles in Pittsburgh's win over Baltimore while Darrisaw did not play due to injury in Minnesota's loss to Detroit. Darrisaw did not practice with Minnesota on Tuesday and is questionable to play in the game.

Sunday, Dec. 12

Baltimore at Cleveland – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
After last week's loss to Pittsburgh, Baltimore and S Chuck Clark face another divisional test when they travel to Cleveland to play the Browns and G Wyatt Teller. Clark made five tackles and had a pass defensed last week as Teller and the Browns enjoyed their bye week. Teller has started all 12 games at right guard for Cleveland this season.

Seattle at Houston – 1 p.m. ET – FOX
This matchup features teams with Hokies as T Duane Brown and the Seahawks visit the Texans and QB Tyrod Taylor. However, Taylor left last week's loss to Indianapolis with a torn ligament in his wrist and is not expected to play Sunday. Brown started at left tackle and played 100 percent of the offensive snaps in the Seahawks win versus rival San Francisco.

Las Vegas at Kansas City – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
Raiders' LB Divine Deablo had his best game in his young pro career as the rookie recorded 11 tackles in the team's loss to Washington last week. Fellow Hokie teammate CB Brandon Facyson started at cornerback and made three tackles in the loss. The Tech duo and Las Vegas travel to Kansas City for a game with divisional foe the Chiefs on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Detroit at Denver – 4:05 p.m. ET – FOX
Broncos' CB Kyle Fuller started and recorded a pass defensed in Denver's loss to Kansas City last week. The Broncos host Detroit on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Buffalo at Tampa Bay – 4:25 p.m. ET – CBS
The Bills and LB Tremaine Edmunds face a road test against reigning Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay and head coach Bruce Arians this week. Edmunds made six tackles, including one for loss, in Buffalo's Monday Night Football loss to New England. Arians has led the Buccaneers to a 9-3 record this season. Tampa Bay is currently positioned as the NFC's No. 3 seed.

Chicago at Green Bay – 8:20 p.m. ET – NBC
A Hokie vs. Hokie matchup on Sunday Night Football concludes the Week 14 slate of games featuring Tech alumni as RB Khalil Herbert and the Bears face divisional rival Green Bay and T Yosh Nijman. In last week's loss to Arizona, Herbert carried the ball four times for 16 yards and returned two kickoffs for 49 yards. Nijman and the Packers enjoyed their bye last week.

Hokies on Bye
One Hokie enjoys his bye this week as WR Isaiah Ford and the Dolphins are off. In last week's 20-9 win over the Giants, Ford recorded a two-yard touchdown reception, the second of his career, to extend Miami's lead in the fourth quarter. Ford's Dolphins have won five straight games.
