Elizabeth Kitley repeats as ACC Player of the Week Monday

BLACKSBURG – Junior center Elizabeth Kitley earned ACC Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Kitley averaged 20.5 points 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks across the Hokies' two wins last week. She also shot 66% from the field and connected on her first 3-point FG attempt of the season.

Kitley registered her second double-double of the season with a 13-point, 13-rebounds effort against Coppin State and followed that up with a 28-point performance vs. Campbell. The Summerfield, North Carolina native owns three 20-point games already this season, the best mark in the conference.

For the season, she is posting 20.8 points per game, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks.

She ranks first in the ACC in points per game, second in field goal percentage, third in rebounds and is the leader in blocks with 18.

Kitley's consecutive weeks earning this award makes her the second Hokie to ever register two ACC Player of the Week awards in a single season and the first to do so back-to-back.
