  • Virginia Tech (11-5-3, 3-4-1 ACC) will appear in the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the sixth-consecutive season. In that span, the Hokies are 4-1 in second round matches, including 2-1 away from home.
  • In its last outing, Tech downed Big South champions Campbell in the first round of the tournament. The Camels tested the Hokies when they found an equalizer in the 56th minute, but Kahlil Dover's goal, assisted by Kyle McDowell, in the 72nd minute pushed Tech past its opposition.
