Below, we take a look at some of the versatile athletes that can play as a guard or forward.

Azana Baines
The former Duke transfer had to wait a bit before getting on the floor last season, but made her presence felt once she donned the maroon and orange. Baines tallied 16 starts out of the 18 games she played averaging 6.5 points and 5.9 rebounds.

The 6-foot-1 junior played a large role in the Hokies' upset win over No. 2 NC State with 16 points, a career-high. Baines earned her first career double-double against North Carolina (Feb. 28) finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Emily Lytle
The Memphis, Tennessee native had a decorated career while at Liberty finishing 13th in all-time scoring and posting a school record 39.1% 3-point percentage last season.

The 5-foot-11 graduate student earned First Team All-Conference honors last season averaging 14.7 points per game and 5.0 rebounds which were both a career high.

Lytle faced the Hokies three times in her career and found Tech's style of play enticing. "I choose Tech because I've played against them the past three years and I've always admired their style of play," Lytle said in the summer when she enrolled at Virginia Tech.

Taylor Geiman
The six-foot junior has appeared in 19 games over her two seasons in Blacksburg, which were both cut short due to injuries.

Healthy again for the start of the 2020-21 campaign, Geiman, who is versatile and has been described by Brooks as a 'Swiss Army knife', will again look to contribute when her number is called.
