Hokies finish fall with two strong showings

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team's fall competition wrapped up on Saturday in Tuscaloos, Al. and Elon, N.C.
 
At Alabama's Roberta Alison Fall Classic, a handful of Hokies shined in both doubles and singles. On Friday, Annie Clark and Chhinda Som picked up two wins as a duo, while Katie Andreini and Charlotte Cartledge, and Elizabet Danailova and Rita Pinto each won a match together.
 
On Saturday, Cartledge, Clark, and Andreini added to their weekend win tallies in the singles draws, as Clark and Cartledge battled out wins in a super tiebreaker, and Andreini picked up a straight sets victory.
 
At Elon's fall tournament, each doubles team – Radulova/Richtrova, Aksu/Cheng, Husted/Hackbirth – picked up a win over two days, with Radulova and Richtrova earning two.
 
The Hokies had several players pick up multiple wins in singles, including Kirsten Husted, Sabina Richtrova, Semra Aksu, and Erika Cheng. Husted, Richtrova, and Aksu tallied two wins on Saturday.
