Individual game tickets are available for the Hokies' clash with the Orange this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET at Lane Stadium, along with Tech's final remaining home game Duke (Nov. 13). Click here to find tickets.

This is just the second meeting between the Hokies (3-3, 1-1 ACC) and Orange (3-4, 0-3 ACC) since the two programs joined the ACC and the first time Syracuse travels to Blacksburg since 2003. Tech is 6-2 all-time against the Orange at home.

Last week's top performers:

  • The Hokies lost their first conference game of the season last week vs. Pitt while Syracuse lost their third straight ACC game by three points in a nail-biter vs. Clemson.
  • WR Tré Turner had three receptions for 73 yards to become just the eighth Tech receiver to total 2,000 career receiving yards.
  • WR Tayvion Robinson posted five receptions for 20 yards with a two-yard TD, his team-leading third receiving touchdown of the season.
  • S Nasir Peoples led the team in tackles for the second straight week and third time this season, recording 11 (four solo) vs. the Panthers.
  • DE Amaré Barno recorded a career-high nine tackles (seven solo) and was credited with three quarterback hurries.
  • Syracuse RB Sean Tucker tied the school record a week ago with a fifth consecutive 100-yard rushing game, a 157-yard effort vs. Clemson.
  • Syracuse LB Mikel Jones led the team with 11 tackles against the Tigers.

 What to watch for Saturday:

  • The Hokies are 8-10 all-time vs. the Orange but hold a 6-2 mark at Lane Stadium.
  • Syracuse is looking for its first ACC road win since a 49-6 victory at Duke (11/16/19).
  • Saturday's game pits the teams with the best pass defense in the ACC against each other. Syracuse leads the conference allowing 194.7 passing yards per game while Tech is second with a 197.5-yard average.
  • WR Tré Turner continues to move up among the Tech career receptions leaders. His 119 have him tied with Eddie Royal for ninth in VT history and he needs three more to pass Antonio Freeman (121) for eighth.
  • WR Tayvion Robinson needs seven more receptions to hit the career 100-reception mark. He'll be just the 16th Tech receiver to record 100 catches in his Tech career after Turner hit the mark earlier this season.
  • CB Jermaine Waller leads the ACC and is tied for the FBS lead with four interceptions on the season. He and Iowa's Riley Moss are the only Power Five players to record four interceptions and an INT return TD this season.
  • Syracuse RB Sean Tucker leads the conference in rushing, averaging 135.4 yards on the ground per game.
  • Syracuse DE Cody Roscoe has totaled 7.5 sacks, the most by any ACC player this season.
  • Syracuse LB Mikel Jones leads the ACC with 66 tackles (41 solo).
