Brooks, Kitley, Sheppard head to Charlotte for ACC Basketball Tipoff

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women's basketball head coach Kenny Brooks will join junior center Elizabeth Kitley and graduate student Aisha Sheppard as they travel to Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday, October 13 for the 2021 ACC Basketball Tipoff.

Brooks and Co. will attend the event along with select student-athletes and head coaches from the other 14 women's basketball programs in the ACC (full list of attendees).  

Packer and Durham and Nothing But Net will be live from the Charlotte Marriott City Center with coverage on ACC Network. Mark Packer and Wes Durham will be on site live from 7-11 a.m. ET, with Brooks being the first guest at 7:15 a.m. 

From 8-8:15 a.m. all three Hokies will join Jenn Hildreth for live interviews on ACC Network Extra. The live portion of the day will wrap up with Tech's final station, where Kitley and Sheppard will appear on Nothing But Net at noon.Kitley and Sheppard represent the highest scoring duo in the conference a season ago at 35.9 points per game and were named the Hokies' first set of First Team All-ACC athletes in 2021. 

Coach Brooks enters his sixth season at the helm for the Hokies. The Waynesboro, Virginia native has a 101-59 record in Blacksburg including five consecutive winning seasons and a second-round appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. 

Tech tips off the season opener on Nov. 9 against Davidson in Cassell Coliseum.
