Virginia Tech to take on ITA Regionals in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team returns to action on Friday for the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships. 
 
Semra Aksu, Katie Andreini, Tamara Barad Itzhaki, Erika Cheng, Charlotte Cartledge, Annie Clark, Elizabet Danailova, Kirsten Husted, Rita Pinto, Dariya Radulova, Sabina Richtrova, and Chhinda Som will be in action for the Hokies. 
 
Competition begins on Friday (10/1) and will run through Sunday (10/3), while Monday (10/4) will be left as an open make-up date. 
 
On Friday, the Round of 64 and 32 are on deck for doubles, while Round of 128 and 64 will take place in the singles draw.
 
The final eight singles participants and four doubles teams will advance to the ITA Super Regionals on Oct. 22-25.
 
Representing the Hokies in doubles will be the duos of Cheng/Som, Barad Itzhaki/Aksu, Husted/Radulova, Clark/Andreini, Richtrova/Danailova, and Pinto/Cartledge. All the players are slated for singles competition, as well.
