Spring schedule set for Hokies

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men's soccer head coach Mike Brizendine released the spring slate for the 2020-21 men's soccer season.

Games played in the spring will be a continuation of the 2020-21 season that commenced this past fall, in which the Hokies hold a 3-2-2 record.

Tech will look to get back into motion with two friendly matches – at VCU on Friday, Feb. 19, and at Virginia on Monday, Feb. 22.

The regular season will resume on Sunday, Feb. 28, in Conway, S.C. against Coastal Carolina.

ACC play will continue on Saturday, March 6, when the Hokies host Duke at Thompson Field. Tech will welcome Clemson, the fall ACC champions, to Blacksburg the following Saturday, March 13.

The Hokies will venture to Charlottesville to take on Virginia on Friday, March 19. In the fall, Tech secured a 1-0 victory over the Cavaliers on the road.

Tech's last home fixture of the season will be on Saturday, March 27, against Pitt. The Hokies wrap up league play with two road matches – at North Carolina on Friday, April 2, and at Notre Dame on Friday, April 9.

The two division champions will play at the higher seed on Tuesday, April 13. The winner of the divisional champion match will play at Clemson (which won ACC Championship in the fall) on April 17 to determine the ACC's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament. If Clemson is the Atlantic Division champion, the April 13 match will not be played.
