GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech midfielder Danny Flores has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, per an ACC release on Tuesday afternoon.
The freshman from Half Moon Bay, Calif. earned the honor following his spectacular game-winning goal in overtime against Notre Dame on Friday, Sept. 24.
Flores received a pass from Landon Ameres on the outskirts of the right side of the box before turning a Fighting Irish defender, dribbling past two more, and slicing a shot past a final defender and the goalkeeper into the back of the net.
