Tech prepares for Battle at Briar’s Creek

BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech men's golf team travels to Johns Island, South Carolina for the 10th annual Battle at Briar's Creek on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Hokies are coming off a sixth-place performance at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, North Carolina where Connor Burgess and Daniel Azallion both carded top-20s to lead Tech.
 
College of Charleston will host this 54-hole tournament comprised of 14 programs. The Hokies will be paired with CofC and Furman for Monday's opening 36 holes, which begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. for Tuesday's final round.
 
Burgess, Azallion, David Stanford, Drew Brockwell and Kobe Valociek will compete for Tech, while Connor Johnson Jr. is entered as an individual.
