BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team wrapped up its first competition of the fall season on Sunday afternoon at the Hokie Fall Invite.
The weekend-long tournament provided an opportunity for several Hokies to make their debuts, including Charlotte Cartledge, Michaela Hagerty, and Dariya Radulova.
Katie Andreini and Annie Clark teamed up together in doubles, along with Rita Pinto and Radulova, Chhinda Som and Erika Cheng, Kirsten Husted and Hagerty, Lily Hackbirth and Sophie Mitchell, and Sabina Richtrova and Cartledge.
Andreini and Clark had the most impressive showing of all the Tech duos, advancing to the finals of their doubles draw, but ultimately falling to JMU.
Hagerty made the deepest run of the Virginia Tech singles competitiors, advancing to the consolidation finals in her flight.
Throughout the weekend, each Hokie picked up at least one win in both singles and doubles.
