BLACKSBURG — The No. 25 Virginia Tech women's golf team will take part in the 54-hole Mercedes-Benz Collegiate hosted by Tennessee in Knoxville, Monday and Tuesday.

The Hokies, who will be making their second appearance in the event, are coming off a third-place finish in the Wolverine Invitational amongst 16 teams in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tech was led by a pair of top-20 performances from senior Keerattriya Foocharoen and junior Becca DiNunzio.

The Mercedes-Benz Collegiate field boasts 17 teams, including the host Lady Vols as well as ACC foe Miami. Texas Tech checks in as the highest ranked team in the field at No. 20 according to the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

Tech will travel the same lineup to Knoxville as it did in its season opener. In addition to Foocharoen and DiNunzio, Emily Mahar, Ginnie Lee and Alyssa Montgomery will rep the Maroon and Orange. Symone Henriques will compete as an individual.

It's a homecoming for Montgomery, who hails from Knoxville and won the 2021 Tennessee Women's Am at Holston Hills Country Club in her home city.

Monday's opening 36 holes will commence with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
