BLACKSBURG – On the eve of its first full team workout this fall, the Virginia Tech baseball team announced on Tuesday it will host two home exhibition games on Sept. 24 and Oct. 15 at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park. Both games will be open to the public with free admission for all fans.
Kicking off its fall schedule, Tech will welcome the Ontario Blue Jays to Blacksburg on Friday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. Regarded as one of Canada's top development clubs, the Blue Jays have produced eight MLB players across their 25-year history, including current pros like Cleveland outfielder Josh Naylor and Toronto reliever Jordan Romano.
On Friday, Oct. 15, the Hokies will contest their final home intersquad exhibition against in-state foe Liberty. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Ballpark concessions will be open and available to all fans for both Tech fall games at English Field. Per Virginia Tech athletic department policy, all guests must wear masks regardless of their vaccination status when utilizing indoor facilities.
Fall exhibition games may vary in length and format from traditional nine-inning contests at the discretion of both coaching staffs.
Information regarding Virginia Tech's intrasquad Fall World Series in late October will be released at a later date.
