BLACKSBURG – The Voice of the Hokies, Jon Laaser, conducts a post-practice interview with running back Jalen Holston on how things are going at practice.
Tickets are still available for the Hokies' season opener against North Carolina on Friday, Sept. 3. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET, and will serve as Tech's annual Orange Effect game. Tickets are still available for the UNC game.
On it being a physical practice and the running backs getting a lot of reps:
"Lot of crossover with us getting ready for the game and trying to prepare each guy for what we have to do on Friday (Sept. 3). So, we're getting a lot of good work in."
On being a veteran leader and the team sharpening one another:
"Oh, yes sir. Everybody brings something different to the table. We say that, but we really do live by that, with everybody getting each other better. There's a lot of competition and just a lot of guys can help us win."
On the anticipation for the season opener:
"I'm excited. I'm ready. This is something that I can't wait for and we're all working for. I can't wait to get out there with my brothers."
On what it means to put the win T-shirt on following victories:
"It's an honor. We come in on a Sunday and get it. Then wear it on Monday."
