BLACKSBURG – After a memorable debut in 2018, Virginia Tech will host its second-ever Hokie Effect game when Notre Dame returns to Lane Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The Hokie Effect game will see sections of Lane Stadium striped in maroon and orange, helping to create an unforgettable atmosphere like only Hokie Nation can deliver.

Virginia Tech athletics partners with the Undergraduate Student Senate (formerly Student Government Association) to execute Effect Game experiences for all fans in attendance at Lane Stadium. Click here to see the Hokie Effect seat map and to purchase the corresponding T-shirt.

Due to high demand, Tech athletics does not anticipate offering single-game tickets for the Notre Dame game to the general public. The best way to secure seats is by purchasing one of the following ticket packages:

  • Season tickets - Starting at just $50 per game, enjoy exclusive benefits while saving money compared to mini plans and individual game tickets
  • 540 Zone season tickets - Package of two season tickets available exclusively to Hokies within a 75-mile radius of Blacksburg
  • Fighting Gobbler Pack - An easy-to-use ticket package that offers a different seat location for the Hokies' games against Middle Tennessee, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Duke

Virginia Tech director of athletics Whit Babcock announced Monday, June 14 that Lane Stadium will operate at 100 percent capacity for football games in 2021. Tech athletics will continue to work within all guidelines mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia, in addition to abiding by all health and safety precautions recommended by University and local health officials.
