Virginia Tech (12-9, 6-6 ACC) enters its 12th NCAA Tournament in 14 years on Saturday following a solid showing in the ACC Championships. The Hokies defeated Clemson (9-14, 2-10) in the second round before bowing out to No. 6 North Carolina (19-3, 9-2) in the quarterfinals.
Three Virginia Tech players are in the latest ITA rankings: No. 73 Alex Ribeiro, No. 89 Mitch Harper, and No. 98 Matthis Ross. Ranked No. 25 in the country and recently securing a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championships is the tandem of Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback.
RED RAIDERS
Texas Tech (12-7, 1-4 Big 12) dropped its first-round match against No. 19 Oklahoma State, 4-3. The Red Raiders are appearing in their third consecutive NCAA Tournament. One spot in Texas Tech's lineup is ranked – the No. 45 duo of Franco Ribero and Parker Wynn.
The winner of Saturday's match will face the winner of 11th seed Georgia (14-6, 8-4 SEC) vs. ETSU (13-7, 7-0 SoCon).
