Midfielder Paige Petty has been named an Inside Lacrosse media All-American, the publication announced Friday. Her Honorable Mention nod marks the third IL All-American honor of her illustrious career.
Petty was the Hokies' leading goal scorer with 42 goals on the season as she scored 45 total points. She became the program's all-time leader in goals and in the Hokies' 20-15 victory at Virginia when she scored her 200th.
In 2021 she had seven games with three or more goals and was also the team's leader in draw controls with 56.
Earlier this week she was tabbed an All-South Region First Team player by IWLCA.
A double major in criminology and sociology, Petty departs Virginia Tech as the program leader in goals (204) and points (227) and ranks fourth in draw controls (241).
Petty was also named an All-American by US Lacrosse Magazine, the fourth All-American nod of her career.
