BLACKSBURG, Va. --The Virginia Tech Hokies struggled on Friday, falling to the Virginia Cavaliers by final score of 18-1.
Senior Peyton Alford (1-4) got the ball to start for Virginia Tech (22-16, 15-13) and took the loss.
In the batter's box, the Hokies were led by freshman Tanner Schobel, who went 2-for-4 on the day. Senior Tanner Thomas furnished a standout performance as well, going 2-for-3.
