BLACKSBURG – Coming off its ACC series against North Carolina State, Virginia Tech Baseball is looking for its second win of the season against ETSU on Tuesday at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park with the game being broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

The Hokies (21-15, 15-12 ACC) and Buccaneers (18-17, 8-9, SoCon) will meet for the second time this season. Tech lead the all-time series 10-4 and have won four out of the last five matchups.

The Hokies beat ETSU 15-5 earlier this season. Gavin Cross had seven RBIs and hit for the cycle in his home state of Tennessee.

ON THE CALL

The matchup on Tuesday will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra with Jon Laaser (play-by-play) and Andrew Wells (analyst) on the call, while Bryant Johnson will broadcast on Virginia Tech Sports Network.

LAST TIME OUT

Tech lost the series against NC State last weekend. The Wolfpack held the Hokies to four runs in the first two games. Tech battled in Game 3 but lost the matchup 7-6 despite an early lead in the second inning.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Tanner Schobel has been one freshman earning his spot as a starter this season. The Williamsburg, Virginia native has collected 39 hits for the Hokies this season and is currently batting .279 in 36 games. Schobel has brought in 27 runs for Tech this year.
