Hokies set to compete in Augusta Haskins Award Invitational

BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech men's golf team heads to Augusta, Ga., for the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, Saturday, April 3, through Sunday, April 4. The 54-hole event will be hosted by Augusta at Forest Hills Golf Club (par 72, 7,053 yards).
 
Eight teams entered into the field are ranked inside Golfstat's top 50, headlined by Oklahoma State at No. 3. No. 5 Illinois, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 14 Arizona, No. 17 Pepperdine, No. 24 South Florida, No. 33 Notre Dame and No. 38 South Carolina are also set to compete. Tech and Notre Dame are the only ACC programs included in the tournament lineup.
 
The Hokies will travel Mark Lawrence Jr., Cameron Moore, Charlie Hanson, Connor Burgess and Daniel Azallion for their sixth tournament of the spring.
 
After wrapping up play in its last tournament on Monday, Tech has a quick turnaround. The Hokies will take part in a practice round Friday, then Saturday will feature 36 holes of continuous play beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sunday's final round will commence at 8 a.m.
