Last Time Out:
At the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Jacory Patterson and Essence Henderson set new school records in the 400m and the discus. Patterson's sprint saw him become the first Hokie to break the 45-second barrier in the 400m, while Henderson's throw beat the previous school record that was set in 2009.

Caitlan Tate will also look to continue her impressive start to the outdoor season. In two meets so far, Tate has recorded outdoor career bests in both the 200m and the 400m and will measure herself against top competition this weekend.

Action begins for the Hokies at 11 a.m. on Friday in field events with events on the track beginning at 3 p.m.
