Road trip awaits No. 29 Hokies for regular season finale

BLACKSBURG – The No. 29 Virginia Tech men's tennis team will wrap up ACC regular season play with a road trip to face No. 50 Louisville and No. 35 Notre Dame on the road this weekend.

HOKIES
Virginia Tech (10-7, 5-5 ACC) defeated then-No. 36 VCU (12-4, 3-0 A10), 4-3, in a thrilling contest last weekend that came down to the last match on Court 6 that Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza clinched for the Hokies. Tech places two players in the latest ITA singles rankings – No. 51 Alex Ribeiro and No. 78. The doubles tandem of Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback is ranked No. 25.
 
CARDINALS
Louisville (9-9, 3-6) suffered a 5-2 defeat to No. 32 Georgia Tech (11-8, 5-6) in its last outing. The Cardinals have two players ranked in singles – No. 57 Fabien Salle and No. 71 Sergio Hernandez Ramirez. Salle, along with Matthew Fung, makes up the No. 63 doubles team, while Ramirez and Tin Chen are ranked No. 89.
 
FIGHTING IRISH
Notre Dame (13-8, 6-4) defeated Clemson (7-13, 1-10), 4-2, last Sunday. The Fighting Irish place two players in the singles rankings – No. 35 Axel Nefve and No. 74 Richard Ciamarra. Ciamarra and Nefve are ranked No. 37 in doubles, while Nefve and Tristan McCormick come in at No. 44.
