Tech begins road swing with clash at No. 19 Elon Wednesday night

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team is back on the field on Wednesday, April 14 for a contest at No. 19 Elon. The game will start at 6 p.m. and will be streamed to Elon's YouTube channel.
 
Virginia Tech heads into its final non-conference game 3-8, 0-6 after a 21-11 loss on Senior Day at Thompson Field to the fourth-ranked Boston College Eagles. In that game defender Leigh Lingo scored the first goal of her career.
 


 
In last season's meeting, Tech defender Mary Clare McCarthy was on the scoresheet, the first and only tally of her career.
